Super excited that Nanite Foliage already made it into Unreal 5, wasn´t expecting it to happen so soon, so I had to make a quick test. Environment consists of ONE hipoly Tree, ONE grassmesh, ONE megascans rock, ONE Mountain created with Gaea as well as 3 sketchfab models, just to spice it up a little. Took about 2 hours to set up, then spent a lot of time trying to match the Look between Lumen and pathtracer. Skydome and Exponential height fog are tricky to manage and they still don´t match 100%, but everything else is pretty close. Some flickering, noise and fireflies, Lumen rendered in about 5-7 mins, Path tracer took about 50 seconds per Frame on a 2080ti. Future is looking bright! And Green!
