Introduction: Hope for Christians Struggling with Lying Are you a Christian struggling with lying? Do you find yourself trapped in a cycle of deception, even when you desire to walk in truth? You are not alone, and more importantly, there is hope! The Bible offers powerful solutions to help believers overcome the stronghold of lying and be fully transformed by God. This message will guide you through the three levels of sanctification that bring true deliverance: Sanctification by Blood, Sanctification by Fire, and Sanctification by the Word. Lying is a serious sin, and the enemy uses it to keep many Christians bound. However, God's sanctifying work through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit can break this bondage. In this teaching, we will explore how to be purged from lying and become vessels of truth in God's kingdom. Let’s begin with the foundation: Sanctification by Blood, Fire, and the Word. 1. Sanctification by Blood – The Power of Jesus’ Blood (Hebrews 13:12) "And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood." (Hebrews 13:12) The first and most foundational level of sanctification is through the blood of Jesus Christ. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin (Hebrews 9:22). When Jesus died on the cross, He paid the price for our sins, including the sin of lying. If you struggle with deceit, the first step to deliverance is confessing your sins and accepting the cleansing power of His blood. How to Apply Sanctification by Blood to Overcome Lying: ✅ Confess your sins – Acknowledge your struggle with lying before God. (1 John 1:9)✅ Believe in Christ’s atonement – His blood cleanses you from all unrighteousness.✅ Walk in righteousness – Live as someone redeemed by His sacrifice. The blood of Jesus removes guilt, grants us a new identity, and gives us victory over sin. But sanctification does not stop here; there is another level that purges our sinful nature—sanctification by fire. 2. Sanctification by Fire – The Refining Power of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 6:17, Acts 2:3-5) 🔥 "With it he touched my mouth and said, 'See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.'" (Isaiah 6:7) In Isaiah 6:7, the prophet Isaiah experienced the cleansing fire of God, which purified his lips and made him fit for God’s service. Many believers are forgiven through the blood of Christ but still struggle with habits of sin because they have not yet experienced the purging fire of the Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:3-5), tongues of fire came upon the disciples, purifying their speech and empowering them to speak God’s truth. If you want to be free from lying, you must invite the fire of God to cleanse your tongue and heart. How to Receive Sanctification by Fire: ✅ Pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit – Surrender to God’s refining work.✅ Ask for a purified tongue – Like Isaiah, let God’s fire touch your lips.✅ Fast and seek deliverance – Fasting brings spiritual breakthrough.✅ Surround yourself with truth – Engage in godly conversations and worship. When you allow God’s fire to consume your old ways, He burns away deceit and replaces it with a spirit of truth. The final level of sanctification ensures you stay in truth—sanctification by the Word. 3. Sanctification by the Word – Transforming the Mind Through Truth (John 17:17) 📖 "Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth." (John 17:17) The final level of sanctification comes through the Word of God. Many believers overcome sin temporarily but return to old habits because their minds are not renewed. The Word of God rewires your thinking and aligns your heart with divine truth. How to Be Sanctified by the Word: ✅ Read the Bible daily – Meditate on scriptures about honesty and integrity.✅ Speak the truth in love – Train yourself to reject lies and embrace truth.✅ Declare scripture over your life – Use God’s Word as a weapon against deception.✅ Memorize key verses – Store God's truth in your heart (Psalm 119:11). When you immerse yourself in Scripture, the lies you once spoke will be replaced by God’s truth, and you will walk in integrity. The Dangers of Lying: Why You Must Overcome It Lying is a serious sin that has grave consequences:❌ It distances you from God – Proverbs 12:22 says, "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord."❌ It opens doors to the enemy – Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44).❌ It breaks relationships – Trust is destroyed when lies are uncovered.❌ 📢 Connect with Me! 💌 Email: [email protected]📞 Phone: 0715697316🎥 TikTok: @josephochuka 🔥 Subscribe for More Faith-Building Messages! 👉 [Insert Channel Link]📢 Share this Video with someone who needs deliverance!✍️ Comment Below: Have you struggled with lying?
