1953 Chevrolet Rebuild Replacing Quarter Panels Cutting Shaping Rolling Welding

In this video I will show you how I replaced the rusted quarter panel section by cutting out the damaged area, using it as a template and rolling a simple shape to replace it. There is also an example of how to use relief cuts to make metal conform to the desired shape. This panel is just tacked into place and final welding will still need to be done. The late 40s through 54 Chevrolets typically have gravel guards over this area. The gravel guards hold debris under them which is what causes the rust. But, they also conceal the repair. So, while it is important to cut out the rust and replace it. I didn't feel like it was terribly important to perfectly roll this panel... judge me if you must.
