Prepare Him Room December 26, 2021

In this message, you are invited to slow down and take a fresh look at the Nativity story through the lens of Scripture, history, and archaeology. In Luke’s account of Jesus’ birth, we’re told there was “no room in the inn”—but the Greek word translated as inn is more accurately translated as guest room. So what does that mean for the story we think we know? Was Jesus really born in a detached barn, or could the setting have been something far more intimate? This message explores the cultural context of first-century Bethlehem and asks what we may have missed by reading the Christmas story through modern assumptions. More than just a historical study, this message challenges us to reflect on our own lives: Have we truly made room for Jesus, or have we unknowingly pushed Him to the margins? This sermon invites both deeper understanding and deeper surrender as we prepare room for Christ—not just at Christmas, but every day.
