Today we start our drive in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, a quaint village in California. We make several scenic stops to showcase some of the popular courtyards and passageways, then head to the coast for some great beach and sunset views, and finally end our journey at the Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. Carmel, which the city's general plan describes as "a village in a forest overlooking a white sand beach" is exactly how it is described! In this video, we will also drive by the mid-century modern Butterfly House and the Clinton Walker House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Carmel has been described as having whimsical storybook architecture, hidden-passageways, tucked-away courtyards, unique boutiques, world-renowned local art galleries, and adorable inns and hotels – many of which are pet friendly.
