Then they find themselves on a long dangerous slide down, to where Adam Warlock is being held. They need to unplug 2 cords to take down a faith barrier blocking the ay to Adam - easier said than done when several hundred murder bots are on their tail! Chapter 15 - Broken Promises, part one Peter finds himself back in Nikki's Promise induced fantasy of Ko-rel's birthday, her escape from the painful truth of what happened to her mother. Peter has to find a way to help Nikki face up to the truth so that she can break free of the Promise's hold on her. Viewing notes: I gained aforewarning when I uploaded the episode featuring the first visit to Nikki's Promise birthday party, that Wham! "Wake me up before you go go" plays and would cause the video to be blocked. This remainthe ONLY song to date in this let's play which has completely prevented me from sharing it. As such I turned on streaming mode, as seen by the caption it places at the top of the screen, which turns off or replaces all licenced music. What it succeeds in doing is utterly killing the mood! There is obviously meant to be party music playing, Nikki refers to it. Oh well, a small sacrifice to get to publish the episode. ----------------------- Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a 2021 action-adventure game developed by Eidos-Montréal and published by Square Enix. Based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy, the game is set in an original universe. In the game, the titular team, while attempting to capture a beast for a wealthy collector, accidentally unleashes a seemingly harmless being, inadvertently setting in motion a series of catastrophic events that threaten the peace of the universe. The player assumes control of Peter Quill / Star-Lord, the team's self-proclaimed leader, and issues commands to other members of the Guardians including Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon and Groot. During exploration or by choosing dialogue paths, he may unlock entries in the Galactic Compendium, or find Guardian Collectibles and different Outfits for the team. He is also equipped with Element Guns, Jet Boots, and a Visor—all three are used in and outside of combat, and can be improved via Perks. Story progression is occurs by completing chapter objectives, and is recorded via Peter's Journal. Although the rest of the team—Groot, Rocket, Drax, and Gamora—are all computer-controlled, the player can issue commands to them via the Guardians Mode menu. They can help Peter progress through an area using their unique skills, or defeat enemies with their special Abilities (which can be unlocked by spending Ability Points, obtained from defeating enemies). They may be incapacitated during battle, requiring that Peter assist them so as to continue fighting. In battle, enemies drop pick-ups for the player to replenish Peter's health and elemental ammo. Additionally, there are two gauges that players can make use of: One is the Momentum gauge, which triggers a Call-to-Action attack to cripple an enemy. The other is the Huddle gauge, which triggers a sequence in which Peter must motivate the team, with a licensed song playing afterwards, providing a damage boost. Attacks deals either standard damage, which depletes enemies' health, or Stagger damage, which fills their stagger bar to leave them inactive for some time. Players can capture screenshots via Photo Mode.
