As per Quran, Ayat 13 of Surah Hujrat, O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware. In urdu, اے لوگو! ہم نے تم کو ایک مرد اور ایک عورت سے پیدا کیا اور پھر تمھاری قومیں اور برادریاں بنادی، تاکہ تم ایک دوسرے کو پہچانو۔ درحقیقت اللہ کے نزدیک تم میں سب سے زیادہ عزت والا وہ ہے جو تمہارے اندر سب سے زیادہ پرہیزگار ہے۔ ( ال حجرات: 13) لوگو! تمہارا رب ایک ہے – تمہارا باپ ایک ہے –تم سب آدم ؑکی اولاد ہو اور آدمؑ مٹی سے بنے تھے۔ خطبۃ الوداع Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) states that "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood." This foundational principle asserts the inherent equality and dignity of all people, regardless of their background, and emphasizes the importance of treating each other with respect and understanding. It shows complete compatibility with Islam. In Urdu: تمام انسان آزاداور حقوق و عزت کے اعتبار سے برابر پیدا ہوئے ہیں اور انہیں ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ بھائی چارے کا سلوک کرنا چاہیے۔ Article 1 of UDHR. Prophet Muhammad said that There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab over an Arab. Nor a white over a black, nor a black over a white, except for piety. You are all the children of Adam, and Adam was created from clay. (Farewell Sermon) In Urdu, سی عربی کو کسی عجمی پر کوئ فضیلت نہیں اور نہ کسی عجمی کو عربی پر۔ نہ کسی گورے کو کالے پر اور نہ کالے کو گورے پر۔ ماسواۓ تقوی کے، تم سب آدم کی اولاد ہو اور آدم مٹی سے بنائے گئے تھے۔ ( خطبہ حجتہ الوداع) Article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) emphasizes that everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms outlined in the declaration, without any discrimination based on factors like race, color, sex, or religion. It also prohibits discrimination based on political status, jurisdictional status, or the international status of a person's country or territory. So again there is a similarity between Islam and Moderen concept of Human Rights. In Urdu: ر شخص ان تمام آزادیوں اور حقوق کا مستحق ہے جو اس اعلان میں بیان کئے گئے ہیں، اور اس حق پر نسل، رنگ، جنس، زبان، مذہب اور سیاسی تفریق کا یا کسی قسم کے عقیدے، قوم، معاشرے، دولت یا خاندانی حیثیت وغیرہ کا کوئی اثر نہ پڑے گا۔ اس کے علاوہ جس علاقے یا ملک سے جو شخص تعلق رکھتا ہے اس کی سیاسی کیفیت دائرہ اختیار یا بین الاقوامی حیثیت کی بنا پر اس سے کوئی امتیازی سلوک نہیں کیا جائے گا۔ چاہے وہ ملک یا علاقہ آزاد ہو یا تولیتی ہو یا غیر مختار ہو یا سیاسی اقتدار کے لحاظ سے کسی دوسری بندش کا پابند ہو Article 2 of UDHR. The story of a young man named Fatma is very famous, who was brought before the court of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on the charge of theft. When Hazrat Usama recommended him based on his family background, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) became very angry and gathered the Muslims and said: The nations that came before you were destroyed because they punished the lowly according to the law and let the high-ranking people go free. (Mishkat Ali Al-Murqat 170/7) Article 7. All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination. You can see the similarity of Islam and UDHR. فاطمہ نامی عور کا قصہ بہت مشہور ہے جو چوری کے جرم میں دربار رسالتﷺ میں پیش ہوئی تھی۔ حضرت اسامہ نے ان کے خاندانی پسِ منظر کی بنا پر ان کی سفارش کی تو حضورﷺ سخت ناراض ہوئے اور مسلمانوں کو جمع کر کے فرمایا۔ تم سے پہلے جو امتیں گزری ہیں وہ اس لیے تباہ ہوئی ہیں کہ وہ کم درجہ کے لوگوں کو تو قانون کے مطابق سزا دیتی تھیں اور اونچے درجے کے لوگوں کو چھوڑ دیتی تھیں۔ (مشکوۃ علی المرقاۃ 170/7) قانون کی نظر میں سب برابر ہیں اور سب بغیر کسی تفریق کے قانون کے اندر امان پانے کے برابر کے حقدار ہیں۔ اس اعلان کے خلاف جو تفریق کی جائے یا جس تفریق کے لئے ترغیب دی جائے، اس سے سب برابر کے بچاؤ کے حقدار ہیں
