Hamilton Morris speaks to the Cambridge Psychedelic Society about his new documentary, "Synthetic Ibogaine - Natural Tramadol", which explores opioid addiction in West Africa and the traditional use of ibogaine (a psychedelic currently undergoing clinical trials for addiction medicine) to combat it. We cannot upload the documentary itself for copyright reasons; we recommend watching it first (it's available for streaming online), although the talk/Q&A are well worth watching on their own. Hamilton Morris is a chemist, filmmaker, and science journalist. A graduate of The New School University, Hamilton Morris conducts chemistry research at The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He is the writer and director of the award winning documentary series Hamilton's Pharmacopeia where he explores the chemistry and traditions surrounding psychoactive drugs.
