His son, Antiochos II, and the Thunderbolts of Zeus sweep across Egypt, brushing aside the Ptolemaic defenses in their path. With their backs against the wall, the Ptolemies muster one final attack, intending to decisively cripple or kill the spearhead of the invasion. Even with overwhelming odds, the Ptolemaic regent finds himself unable to live up to the standards of Philadelphos or his father, and before long, Alexandria itself comes under threat as a vengeful man with a special grievance against the Ptolemies boards his flagship and sets sail at the head of a newly constructed and even deadlier Seleukid fleet.
