It's Sunday 3rd June 2001 – Pentecost Day. The day that year's Biggin Hill Air Show in Kent was rocked by a second plane crash and Prime Minister Tony Blair urged young voters to vote for his Labour party. Meanwhile on Beeb 1, another edition of Ground Force (which was in the form of a revisit to a garden that was renovated a few years beforehand) comes to an end, and waiting in the wings, the final episode of series two of Alistair McGowan's Big Impression. But first, a plug for a Ground Force Garden Handbook and CD (sold separately mind you!), and a couple of trailers. Firstly, for a programme about the joys of using the Short Messaging Service to communicate (and how we did it in those days!), and secondly, for the not-that-good game show Friends Like These with “Ian Wright-Wright-Wright” (who replaced the previous hosts known as PJ & Duncan as they committed themselves to ITV).
