If you have never been to this store, and if there is one in your area, you should visit one, especially if you love pets and farm animals. The name of this store is Tractor Supply Co., and is located in Orange, Connecticut. With the exception of our dad and mom, this was our first time shopping at this store. Our mom who's only been here one time always thought that this store only sells tractor supplies. Tractor Supply Co. is the source for farm supplies, pet and animal feed and supplies, clothing, tools, fencing, and so much more. Tractor Supply Company (TSC) is an American retail chain of stores that offers products for home improvement, agriculture, lawn and garden maintenance, livestock, equine and pet care. Several of our neighbors next door have started to raise chickens amidst the pandemic. Up until last week, our parents were still debating whether or not they want to endeavor raising the chickens, but something happened... Last week, our next door neighbor informed my dad that 5 of their hens were killed. The neighbor accused one of our cats, Irelia of attacking & killing these chickens at night. But the way the chickens were killed, the places they were scattered, the facts that only the contents of their stomach were gone but the meat and head still intact suggests an attack by a Raccoon or a group of raccoons. In the past, Irelia has killed several small birds in our backyard but she almost always brought back the birds to our back door steps. However, most of them were not eaten, usually only the heads were missing. My dad thinks it was impossible Irelia would be able to kill 5 full size adult hens all in 1 night. So, one of the reasons for buying the chicken is to prove that our cats did not eat the neighbors hens. It is possible however, that Irelia would eat small chicks since she's used to eating and killing small birds. After all, cats are natural hunters. Benton (Burton) doesn't venture too far from the backyards and he's actually very old and frail with missing fangs. Our Ragdoll Princess Bella Morgana is Pescatarian, which means she doesn't eat meat or chicken, similar to a vegan or vegetarian. This is Our Journey To Raising Backyard Chickens.
