Best hike yet! The Channels in Virginia/Trail Review

My favorite hike so far! The Great Channels of Virginia did not disappoint. It's 3 miles up (and I do mean UP) to the channels and 3 miles back. Beautiful scenery every step of the way after you leave the gravel road. *Note the parking lot has 10 numbered spaces, parking anywhere else will get your towed. I was there at 830am and it was about 1/2 full by the time I packed up to hike. Shout out to Laurie and Rick. Just so you don't think we were being scared of a tiny slide down at the summit, we had to slide down on the right spot. The other side dropped out of sight so it made us a little nervous! I am very happy to have met them and appreciated them offering to help me along so I could come to view the summit with them. Surprisingly, I had service until I entered the Channels.
