It will highlight basic concepts including primary indications, dosing, drug interactions, and monitoring. It will also review recommendations on transition between anticoagulants, periprocedural management of DOACs, and DOAC-associated bleeding. After this presentation, attendees will be able to: 1. Summarize the basic pharmacology of DOACs. 2. Describe the primary indications, dosing, drug interactions, and monitoring for DOACs. 3. Outline important considerations when selecting DOACs for a patient. 4. Explain current recommendations surrounding the transition between DOACs, periprocedural management of DOACs, and DOAC- associated bleeding.
