Low, LGBT Advocacy Groups Denounce Trump’s Transgender Bathroom Protection Reversal

(Sacramento) – Led by California Legislative LGBT Caucus Chair Assemblymember Evan Low (D-San Jose), members of the LGBT Caucus, Equality California, the Transgender Law Center and the ACLU held a news conference in the State Capitol to denounce the Trump Administration’s recent reversal of transgender bathroom protections. “President Trump’s unrelenting assault on the LGBT community is shameful,” said Assemblymember Low. “This latest directive singles out transgender youth and proves that the current Administration places politics over people.” Transgender youth affected by the directive can call the Sacramento LGBT Community Center at (916) 442-0185 for assistance.
