So basically this is a showcase that base Gilbert (no stat boosters) can double on Hunting by Daybreak (Maddening mode NG), checkmate casuals. Azure Moon is known for his 2 AS Gilbert and the limited amount of ressources on HBD. It also has the worst HBD lord making maybe the hardest map in the game so this showcase was mostly suffering, a small price to pay for salvation. Here are the math and the insane amount on setup I used First the stats of Gilbert and how to max them: Gilbert has 26 base strength and 2 speed (from 8 base - 6 from Fortress Knight) We can give him a speed ring from the chest of chapter 10, Special Dance from Ingrid and Rally Speed from Annette which make him reach 30 str and 12 spd. With 30 str and Weight -5 from Fortknight he can use any weapon with a weight of 11 without being slowed down, resulting in Gilbert having 12 AS. Then we need to lower the enemy AS as much as possible, our target is any enemy archer / sniper we can steal an item from, they have 26 str and 28 spd. We use waning shot with Mercie or trAshe to lower their str by 5, making it 21 and allowing them to negate only 4 weight. Then we use Steal with Byleth (or anyone else we don't need for the setup with more than 28 spd) and give them a Silver shield with a weight of 4, from now on any additional weight we put on the enemy sniper won't be negated. We didn't consider the weapon weight, because we are going to break it using Gilbet's huge bulcc (he takes 0 damage from Venin Bow at base) and make our target wield a Broken Bow with 20 wt, loosing 20 AS and making it 8. Now our Gilbert has 12 AS and his target has 8, which means he can now double without using a single stat booster. I also used an offensive gambit with Sylvain (not showed in the video) to rattle the enemy, making them loose 1 AS and allowing Gilbert to double with his base Steel axe for extra memes. Though I still used the Training axe so we can actually see the doubling animation. Please note that the Rattled effect is calculated after every other effects lowering AS, cutting off 10% of AS, rounded up. Here, when ever you use the Gambit, in the end the Rattling effect cuts 10% of 8 rounded up which is 1, making it 7. What we could also do that I didn't: If you can afford to loose an Hexlock Shield (it has 5 wt, one is dropped on this map) you can reverse steal it to the Archer and make their AS 6 which is the absolute lowest. So Gilbert doesn't even need the Speed Ring and if you give him anyway he could double with 13 wt weapons (like he could quad with a Brave lance kek).
