Gujarat Gas In Focus: Propane Prices Will Continue To Remain Lower Than Gas | Business News

Despite the hike in propane prices by Saudi Aramco, in India, the landed cost would continue to be lower compared to gas in the Morbi region. This is because the government has rolled the total import duty on Propane to 2.75% from 19.25% earlier. Saudi Aramco had increased the propane prices to $550 per metric tonne. This would have increased propane prices from October 1 to Rs 47.4/scm. However, due to the cut in import duty, the prices will now be Rs 41/scm, which is lower compared to the gas prices charged by Gujarat Gas in the Morbi region.
