World TB Day: United, we can save lives

Even today, 140 years after Dr. Robert Koch discovered its cause, TB remains a global threat. In fact, prior to COVID-19, TB was the deadliest infectious disease in the world. But many countries were making steady progress in tackling TB. Now for the first time in more than a decade, the death toll from TB is rising. Is there still hope to #endTBtoday? This World TB Day, our colleague Tandie Mpabanga-Nyathi, Senior Sales Development Manager in Africa, shares how we, at QIAGEN, are working toward raising awareness of TB. With latent TB infection (LTBI) testing and treatment, we can substantially reduce the number of people who develop active TB disease and can prevent further spread of the disease.
