The Red & Blue editions, featuring improved sprites, were released in Germany in 1999 for the Game Boy. This was followed by the first special edition, Pokémon Yellow, which included elements from the anime alongside the first 151 Pokémon. After its huge success, it wasn't long before Pokémon Gold and Silver were released for the Game Boy Color that same year. This time, the setting was the Johto region, but it was also possible to travel to a slimmed-down version of Kanto. The number of familiar Pokémon increased with each generation. Following the special edition Pokémon Crystal, the third generation began in 2002 with the Sapphire, Ruby, & Emerald editions set in the Hoenn region on the Game Boy Advance. In between, the Kanto remakes Pokémon Fire Red & LeafGreen were released in 2004, before Diamond, Pearl & Platinum continued in the Sinnoh region on the Nintendo DS in 2006. The Johto region was re-released for the DS with HeartGold & SoulSilver in 2009, and the Black & White editions set in the Unova region ushered in the 5th generation in 2010. The 6th generation, set in Kalos, was released worldwide on October 12, 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS family, as were the Hoenn remakes Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire in 2014. The 7th generation was introduced in 2016 with Pokémon Sun & Moon in the tropical Alola region, for which two editions with an alternate story, Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon Ultra Moon, were released in November 2017. The jump to the hybrid console Nintendo Switch had to be made in 2018. For the first step, the decision was made to introduce a new main series with "Pokémon Let's Go Eevee" and "Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu," which is strongly geared toward nostalgics, beginners, and Pokémon Go players. Players revisit the Kanto region and enjoy the first adventure in HD. "Pokémon Sword" and "Pokémon Shield" finally ushered in the eighth Pokémon generation on November 15, 2019, allowing players to explore the Galar region, inspired by Great Britain. The seemingly unnecessary Gigantamax feature and the fact that not all Pokémon from previous decades would be included in the game caused an uproar among players worldwide. Since November 19, 2021, a relatively faithful remake of the Sinnoh editions, "Pokémon Brilliant Diamond" and "Pokémon Shining Pearl," has been available for Nintendo Switch. ▪ TITLE: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond ▪ DEVELOPER: ILCA, Game Freak ▪ PUBLISHER: The Pokémon Company, Nintendo ▪ SYSTEM: Nintendo Switch ▪ GENRE: RPG ▪ OFFICIAL SITE: https://bit.ly/3kNfF69 ▪ GERMAN RELEASE: November 19, 2021 ▪ METASCORE: ?% ▪ HASHTAGS: #Pokemon #PokemonBrilliantDiamond #NintendoSwitch
