La Estrella: A Night of Music and Flamenco 2017 Teaser #1

La Estrella combines the various performance art forms featuring Flamenco as well as Spanish Classical and Pop songs, weaving together a compelling story about love and friendship within a musical play. Set in the Andalusian city of Granada, the story unfolds and moves in vivid visuals, revolving around Carina (Katsie Llave) and her childhood best friends - Alejandro (David Ezra), the shy but sweet village boy, and Ricardo (Arman Ferrer), the headstrong but charming aristocrat. Under the direction of Katreen Dela Cruz, this production uses visuals and music as its language. With Carina expressing herself through dance and Alejandro and Ricardo responding through song, the story comes together in a unique Flamenco Musical. Leading the cast are Katsie Llave, a Madrid trained Flamenco dancer, and two of the most sought after singers in the country - Aliw Awardee David Ezra, and Gawad Buhay Awardee Arman Ferrer.
