MEP Collection #54: January 2023-April 2025 (AKA: Burnout Be A Bitch)
Happy May! Guess who's back with a MEP collection! :D It's been about 3 years since one of these were up on my channel. 2024 is actually the first year since I started joining MEPs over a decade ago where I had no MEP parts, which is kind of insane. Was a mixture of less MEPs being done and me not actually taking initiative to sign up for MEPs I've seen from people I'm subbed to. Kinda started off slow & eventually got to a point where I just stopped doing them entirely. The burnout was there, just slow building. Motivation sparked once I got a new laptop & a friend opening up a new MEP studio. Joined another one cause was interested at the time from a signup they posted. (Link to MDM will be at the bottom since it's an open MEP studio and it's always accepting memberships.) All this to say MEP collections should be back on a semi-regular schedule! Dunno if I'll do once a month anymore, maybe every few months. It depends how active I decide to be in the MEP studios/MEPs in general. Watermark changes position depending on where lyrics are. Whenever I do parts I always assume watermarks will be in the bottom right by the hosts, hence why I tend to watch how I have text there. I don't think about my packet watermarks that I do on the left. (Dunno why I started doing that but don't feel like changing it.) (I checked cause was curious.) FB was the replacement part. Tried something new with the text that I completely forgot about when I wanted to do it again elsewhere. (Figured it out tho.) Full MEP: • Glad You Came (HBD Mel) 0:28- Danny Phantom/Teen Titans Characters: Danny/Raven Song: All The Things She Said Host: AnimationFreak91 Comments: ...God I did not realize how dark this part ended up being until it was in the full MEP and I saw it on my phone and when I rewatched it on my current laptop. I didn't mean it to be this dark, and 100% won't do anything this dark again. Kinda wish I brightened it a bit so y'all could actually see the clips/masks/text better cause this is the best DaVen part I have ever made. For a birthday MEP for AquarianFrostAngel91, hence the pairing lol. Always gotta do it for her when the opportunity arises. A lot of WIPs and advice later and we ended up with this. Wanted to try my hand at extensive candy style and really loved the results. This was 44 layers if anyone was curious. (The one text clips Lucy's shoulder, it bugs me, so if I have to constantly notice it so are y'all reading this. April 2025: 1:26- Encanto Character: Alma Madrigal Song: Bring Me To Life Host: SilentNightStudio Comments: Another MEP studio I joined, the song was the reason. Saw Stardust promoting the MEP in MDM and decided to reach out to join the studio. Finally got around to downloading Encanto since I've been wanting to do that for awhile. Had ideas with the text & I think it worked out well. Tried to showcase Alma's trauma after losing Pedro & how that affected her relationships. (& also how Isabella/Mariano was similar to Alma/Pedro.) If I never have to mask 3D animation again it'll be way too soon.
