Story behind the song:- Kion, after defeating the evil Scar, has got a scar of his own from Ushari's bite which was planned by Scar. In order to heal his Scar or the venom inside it, he must journey to the Tree Of Life. At the Tree Of Life, Kion meets Rani, the brave, responsible and beautiful leader of the Night Pride. Kion slowly falls in love with Rani and so does Rani with Kion. When Kion must return to the Pride Lands, they both become very sad. Kion and Rani finally confess to each other how much they love and care for each other through this love song. Trivia ---------- This song has similarities to the "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" musical sequence in The Lion King and the "Love Will Find A Way" musical sequence in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. When Kion pulls Rani into the water, it resembles Simba pulling Nala into the lake. Similarly, the scene where Kion and Rani share a long nuzzle clearly is identical to the nuzzle Simba and Nala share, minus the long lick Nala gives Simba, likely because that might be too romantic for a Disney Junior show. Rani sings that what she loves about Kion is that he has the energy and drive to take command. With that statement, it's likely that the moment Rani fell in love with Kion was when she witnessed him leading the Lion Guard and Night Pride against Makucha's Army in The Lake of Reflection.
