Thank You Delta! - Grant Rant #101

But what I really want to talk about here is this - Delta Airlines. I want to thank the pilot, my family wants to thank the pilots, thank the flight attendants. I want to thank Delta, the management team there for whatever it is you do to make a sure a pilot can handle that situation. Some of you have said "Oh man some birds going into an engine, not a big deal." Dude, look, I was on the plane. I was on the 757. I heard the digestion of this flock of birds whether it was 6, 8, or 12 - I don't know - going through this engine. I know that it was enough to literally knock this engine out. While you might not think it's a big thing, it happens everyday. Dude, it was terrifying and I just wanna thank Delta. I've flown over a million miles with Delta. Delta Airlines has gotten me all over the United States for the last 25 years. I want to thank Delta Airlines, thank your training, your preparation, your commitment to safety. Thank you so much for making sure, not only I was safe, but the other 178 passengers on flight 1063 from JFK made it on the land. You guys were cool, you were calm, and you were collected. This is what I need to tell you, every one of us should be preparing for that right now. You should be prepared for your family to hit black birds or hit some unknown problem like the economy or inflation or some situation that's gonna happen in your life that you're not fully prepared for. You should take the time each week to prepare you, your spouse, and your children for whatever's coming on the horizon that maybe your family, particularly financially, that maybe your family hadn't prepared for. So that's what we do in these Grant Rants, I take something that's happening in the news and figure out some kind of twist on how it can be positive information for you. Prepare, train, get ready! Look, the world's always changing. We know it's changing. How do you prepare for change? You train for it, you prepare for it, you get yourselves ready for it. Just do what Delta Airlines did.
