Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thavarchand Gehlot released a survey report related to drinking alcohol in the country. It included 4,73,569 people from 10 years to 75 years of 186 districts. It was revealed in the survey that people of Chhattisgarh drink most alcohol. More than 35% of people drink alcohol here Tripura is the second largest drinker and the people of Punjab at number three. In the case of liquor, Chhattisgarh has been earning double more than its four times as big as Maharashtra. Maharashtra has a population of 11.47 crores, while liquor earnings is Rs. 10546 crores. At the same time, the population of Chhattisgarh is 2.55 crores. Alcohol earning is around Rs 4700 crores here. If you divide this earning from the population then consumption of liquor in Chhattisgarh is Rs 1843 per person. In Maharashtra, the figure is Rs 919 per person.
