Iran's President Hassan Rouhani takes the stage in Davos on Thursday on day two of the World Economic Forum. Syria and Iran's nuclear programme remain major areas of concern as Rouhani discusses his country's position in the world. Ahead of his Davos debut, euronews' Isabelle Kumar asked Rouhani about the decision to exclude Tehran from peace talks on Syria. ''Firstly, we consider it as our humanitarian duty to do anything to prevent the bloodshed in Syria and anything that helps the well-being of the Syrian people. Stability in the region is very important for us, the civil war in Syria is not tolerable but, regarding the invitation, we are ready take part in any gathering aimed at helping the Syrian people. I am disappointed about what happened. Not for ourselves or for Iran, I am disappointed for the United Nations and for its Secretary-General,'' the Iranian President said. euronews: the most watched news channel in Europe Subscribe! http://eurone.ws/10ZCK4a euronews is available in 14 languages: http://eurone.ws/17moBCU In English: Website: http://www.euronews.com/news Facebook: / euronews.fans Twitter: / euronews Google+: http://google.com/+euronews VKontakte: http://vk.com/en.euronews
