Rick Hendrick reacts to Kyle Larson's NASCAR Cup Series Championship win

Rick Hendrick talks with WCNC Charlotte after Sunday's win in Phoenix. Kyle Larson's victory gave Hendrick Motorsports its 14th NASCAR championship. Larson was dominant in 2021, winning 10 NASCAR Cup Series races. He became the driver to win 10 races in a single season since Jimmie Johnson 2007. Johnson also drove for Hendrick Motorsports. Larson won the Cup Series championship at Phoenix Raceway by finishing ahead of Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott. Hendrick Motorsports has won back-to-back titles with Elliott and Larson. Before joining Hendrick Motorsports, Larson was suspended for the majority of 2020 after using a racial slur during a live stream of an iRacing event. He was eventually released by Chip Ganassi Racing, where he spent the first years of his Cup Series career, when sponsors dropped him. Larson was reinstated by NASCAR after completing sensitivity training. More on the win here: https://www.wcnc.com/article/sports/m...
