We're just 2 weeks away from The Great American Bash! Hello and welcome back to NWA Wrestling this week, live from the Mid-South Coliseum! It's a jam packed episode tonight as we inch even closer to The Great American Bash. Tonight we hear from Hulk Hogan. Last weeks interview had to be cut from the program due to time constraints so that interview will air here first thing and following that we'll have the Hulkster himself in singles competition. Nature Boy Ric Flair and current NWA Heavyweight Champion stops by to share his thoughts on the current landscape of the number one contenders fight for his belt, and who may be the challenger at the upcoming event in Greensboro. Terry Funk has a contest tonight against Jimmy Garvin as well, Garvin hasn't been on television all that much the past few weeks so he'll want to pick up a win against the US TV champion to make a statement. On the other side of the coin Terry Funk is coming off a heated title match with Arn Anderson that ended in a count out. Anderson has been persistent in his chase for the belt and it looks as though he's starting to get under Funk's skin on the matter. Dusty Rhodes is in action tonight and it's against none other than Sting! These two have seemed to work well with one another in the past, as last week they were tag team partners and previous to that Dusty saved Sting from attacks from Flair and Kerry Von Erich. But tonight that may come to an end, the NWA has commissioned this match in hopes of singling out a number one contender. Dusty lost the gold in a cage match with Flair and due to being injured, never got his rematch and still hasn't since returning. Sting also lost to Flair, this time at Starrcade, and he hasn't had his rematch either. Now it's a dispute on who the number one contender actually should be, and it's yet to be settled. Will tonight's match settle that dispute? We'll have to just wait and see! Finally as advertised last week, tonight's main event will be The Fantastics vs The Midnight Express. More number one contender disputes and this time it's the tag team division, The Midnight are looking to get a crack at The Road Warriors to take back their Tag Team Championships. The Road Warriors have been dominant to say the least since they arrived, as they've yet to be defeated. No pinfalls, submissions or even count outs have occurred since The Road Warriors began their reign of supremacy in the NWA, and it doesn't look like that's going to change any time soon. Regardless, The Fantastics and The Midnight Express both believe they can take down the champions and tonight they'll fight for the guarantee that they have a match for those belts at The Great American Bash. Both these teams are highly skilled athletes and are arguably at their peak right now, so this should be a match we won't soon forget. Thanks for tuning in to NWA Wrestling and we'll see you next week!
