THE LAST OF US PART 1 Walkthrough Chapter 2 - The Quarantine Zone: The Cargo - GAMEPLAY 5 The Cargo When the cutscene ends, we'll have a new ally in the party: Marlene. However, there isn't much time to vet the Firefly leader before unwanted company joins the fray. Once you regain control, follow Marelene. She'll take a path up some stairs to the left. Continue following her and she'll lead you up a fire escape and onto the rooftops. After watching the final stragglers of Marlene's squad of Fireflies get snuffed out, Marlene will continue leading you to her safehouse. Eventually, Marlene will drop through a smashed window into an abandoned factory. Follow her and then grab the resources on the metal table in front of you. Once you're done, head over to the door on the right and help Marlene open it, pressing TRIANGLE when prompted then moving right. Continue down the path until you cue a cutscene. Marlene will tell you that the trio needs to enter the door on the opposite side of the dock. The only problem is it's swarming with guards. Marlene claims it's possible to sneak past the foes, and so that's our goal. Once you regain control, crouch and stay undetected using the boxes in front of you. When you reach the edge of the platform, take a left and follow Marlene up the stairs. It's worth noting there's a decent number of guards up here. If push comes to shove, it's not enough to stop you from winning a shootout, but it's easier to play this section non-lethally. Head through the building on your left when reaching the top of the stairs. Using the corridor at the back of the building, head north. You'll see a soldier perched in the doorway to your right. Don't grab him. He's having a conversation with another soldier across from him who will see you if you try anything. Just walk past and proceed to the end of the corridor. Head into the final room on the right-hand side. Look out of the window here. You should see a guard with his back to you. Grab him and, making sure he's out of sight, take him down. Optional Conversation 04: Body Pile Across the bridge ahead, you'll see a pile of bodies. When all the enemies in the area are dead, you'll be able to talk over to the pile and initiate an Optional Conversation with Marlene. It's worth noting that you need to take out every enemy in the area to grab this Optional Conversation. If it won't trigger, make sure no enemies are hidden nearby. Optional Conversation 04: Body Pile Now, circle around the boxes to your left. You'll see two guards facing the staircase you need to descend. Use a bottle or brick to distract them and then sneak down the staircase. From here, it's a straight shot to the door. Once inside, follow Marlene through the building until you reach a door she needs help opening. Walk up and press TRIANGLE when prompted to cue a cutscene. In this cutscene, Joel finally discovers what he's smuggling: A teenage girl named Ellie. Firefly Pendant 03: Liu When we regain control, we'll immediately be able to find our final collectable of the chapter. Head forward and look for a dead firefly perched against a newspaper stand. Next to him is the chapter's third Firefly Pendant. Pick it up, take a look at it and then put it away. If you've been following the guide closely, that should be all the collectables in this chapter. ADVERTISEMENT When you've grabbed the pendant, head west of its location, descending the nearby steps, taking a right and following the path around to a small clearing. Our goal here is to find something to help us reach the fire escape on the left-hand side of the clearing. Look in the garage west of where Joel entered. Inside, you'll find a dumpster. Walk up to it and press TRIANGLE when prompted to move the bin. Wheel it around and position it in front of the fire escape and then release it. From here, Joel can climb onto the dumpster and then up to the fire escape. Ascend the stairs and then enter the apartment building. Take a left, follow the path and listen to Ellie and Joel bicker for the very first time. Once you reach the door at the end of the path, The Quarantine Zone is officially complete. Now, it's time for The Outskirts.
