F3 HALF MARATHON - CHICAGO

How far can Stormtroopers run? 13.1 miles - a half marathon. my running buddy and I don our stormtrooper costumes once again for the F3 Winter Half Marathon in Chicago. The race started at Soldier Field, ran down the lakefront path past the Museum of Science and Industry, and then returned again to end at the south end of Soldier Field. We were initially a little worried about wearing our full face costumes, especially since we would be inside a major sports stadium to start. However, when we got there, everyone from staff to security was very entertained by what we were doing. We got a lot of support from other runners. Many people wanted to take pictures of us or with us before the race. During the race, we also got a lot of encouragement from other runners who were excited to see us on the course. And yes, we ran the entire race with our helmets on. It was a lot of fun. But a little uncomfortable by around mile 9. Thanks for watching.
