Finn Wittrock Cast as Guy Gardner in Green Lantern Corps! | DCEU News

I’m Asher Freidberg, and today we finally got some casting news in regards to the HBOMax Green Lantern Corps. Series! According to Deadline “Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story) has been tapped to star as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern in HBO Max’s upcoming series based on the DC characters, from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television." Just a quick breakdown of who Guy Gardner is, he is one of the top members of the Green Lantern Corps., and has been featured in many different forms of media. He is usually depicted as a hyper-masculine arrogant guy, yet he remains likeable, as his heart is always in the right place. Except the times he was a villain. If you don’t know, this series is set to take place over several decades and follow different Green Lanterns throughout time. The Guy Gardner Character is set to be featured throughout the 1980s. This series is also reportedly set to take place in the greater DC Extended Universe, meaning that Guy Gardner could theoretically appear in future DCEU films. Since he will be featured in the year 1984, likely in his prime, he could interact with the Justice Society of America depending on when the Black Adam film takes place. He could show up in the modern DCEU, but this version of Guy Gardner would have to be in his late sixties. The Green Lantern series is shaping up to be great, featuring many other Green Lanterns such as Alan Scott, Bree Jarta, Sinestro and Hal Jordan! Also, with this series hopefully connecting to the DC Extended Universe, the Green Lantern Corps. Series is set to add a lot to the shared universe. What are your thoughts on this news?
