As the war against Iran continued through its third week, Joe Kent resigned from his position as the director of the National Counterterrorism Council over the war against Iran. In a letter addressed to President Trump that Kent posted publicly, he wrote, "I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation." One day after the resignation letter was posted publicly, multiple outlets reported the FBI is investigating Kent over alleged leaks of classified information.
