One of the best, most desirable 1971 Corvettes in existence. This is a highly acclaimed, awarded, judged, original survivor. It is also optioned out with features including a 454, 4-speed with a/c in a two top roadster! If you didnt notice, it's also red with black deluxe leather interior. It has been awarded all the top awards a Corvette can get- Gold Survivor, Gold certified, NCRS Top Flight and Triple Crown. In addition to having all the awards, certificates and judging sheets the owner also kept all the literature. He has the application forms, acceptance letters, framed pictures, gold pins with the certification #s and more. It won it's awards throughout the 1990s. The car is virtually unchanged, with only 646 miles since. In 1992 it had 11,019 miles. He kept it covered in a clean, dry garage. Drove it about 25 miles a year, gave it regular oil changes. According to the one and only owner everything is original except reproduction tires, battery, exhaust and top. EXTERIOR: Factory Mille Miglia red. No hit virgin body. Mostly original paint. It still shines beautifully. The chrome and trim is excellent, shiny and straight. The original glass is crystal clear. Still has judges stickers in the windshield. It still has the weathershields behind the grills to protect the headlights. Correct gas cap with caution tag. Black convertible top is excellent. The original auxiliary hardtop is in excellent shape. The headliner and weatherstrips are mint. This car has it's original deluxe hubcaps and they are in excellent condition. Correct reproduction Good Year wide tread tires. Jambs are very clean, original weatherstrips are good. INTERIOR: All original and in excellent condition. It is practically like sitting in a new 1971 Corvette. The whole dash area is mint. The lenses, gauges, knobs, vents are in excellent shape. The fiber optics work, console is excellent. Interior lights work including in the rear compartments. Carpets is excellent front and back. Door panels are mint. Genuine leather seats and armrest are excellent. There is a crack under the arm rest in the plastic housing. Never smoked in, ashtray and cigarette lighter are mint. Features Am-FM stereo, deluxe interior with leather upholstery, shoulder belts and tilt telescopic wheel. It has a reproduction battery in the rear compartment complete with vent hoses. There is a shut off and built in charger. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Obviously it is the original motor to the car. The judges closely verify the #s. 454 this year put out an impressive 365 horsepower and 460 lb of torque. The engine compartment looks as it did when it left the factory. All original components. Has ignition shielding, overspray on manifolds etc. Features include factory air conditioning, power steering and brakes.
