LOTR:CG from Fantasy Flight Games has been one of my top games ever since it's release. It was fantastic to be able to enjoy FFG's LCG format in a cooperative format. It combines the ever present high quality art and graphic design we expect from FFG with an all enveloping sense of narrative and theme. Before the Black Rider Saga Expansion the game had dealt in the world of "what-if-this-happened?" in the interim period between The Hobbit and Fellowship of the Ring. With BR the game finally tackled the well known stories themselves, including an almost "legacy" continuity which was unusual for the time. I played through this expansion with my usual LOTR friend and we had a grand time. Given this expansions departure from the usual difficulty levels (which have caused a fair amount of controversy - I'm looking at you Heirs of Numenor!), I was curious how this would stand up to solitaire play (usually MUCH harder than playing 2 player). The results were very satisfying :D
