Amazing Science Experiment: Coloring Flowers and Timelapse

In this cool experiment we take white carnations and color them with food dye. Depending on your flowers and temperature, it takes about 24-36 hours to start seeing good results. We do several long time lapses so that you can observe the capillary action. This demonstration makes a great school science project for kids.
