(12 Sep 1997) T/I: 10:14:33 Israel remained on high alert Friday (12/9) as US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright began the last stage of her three day visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories. Earlier Friday, Albright met with a group of Palestinian high school students in Ramallah and compared Palestinian and Israeli leaders to trapeze artists who must cooperate in making a leap towards peace.
