This car caught my attention the moment I saw photos of it online. It immediately brought to mind photos of the SCORE championship and the Baja 1000—clouds of dust kicked up, roaring, boosted engines, breakneck speeds, and truly bottomless suspension that allows drivers to do literally anything. And so it turned out. This thing was indeed built in the USA for SCORE, and it actually competed in the Baja 1000. Under the hood is a Ford engine, similar to what you'd find in a Ford Mustang. The transmission is a hydromechanical unit. Essentially, it's a three-speed automatic from the 1970s, redesigned for racing.
