The Newsmakers: Syria peace talks

Another month, another attempt at talks. Syrian Opposition and rebel groups are meeting in Riyadh. They are trying to agree on a united front of delegates to send to future peace talks. Global powers want Syrians to sit down and draw up a peace plan before 2015 is out. Syria's war has now raged on for four and half years, but attacks by Daesh, the growing refugee crisis, and fears that the conflict could spread as more players are drawn into the war, have all added to the urgency to find a solution.
