Halo: Combat Evolved - Campaign Walkthrough Gameplay Mission #3 (Truth and Reconciliation) -- The first area here you should stay to the ridge on the right to snipe as many Covenant as you can before being spotted. You'll know you've been spotted when they start shooting back or your Marine compadres join you in the fight. After they are all dead (2 Jackals, 2 Elites and lots of Grunts) head up the path, careful here as several more Covenant (Jackals and Grunts) decide to join the fray at this point. Kill them all and follow the path. Cortana tells you to STOP and a little further up the path you'll see another stationary gun, snipe the gunner and then kill the rest of the Covenant here to head up the path again. Cortana gives tells you the path up on the left should let you sneak around... but we know that's not going to happen. Carefully creep up and snipe the stationary gunner and the Elite (you have to move up a little to see him on the ridge) before taking the left path anyway. Once you proceed far enough, Cortana will tell the Marines to take the path up the middle while you cover the left. Keep killing enemies and move to meet up with the Marines again. Cortana will warn you that Covenant dropships are coming so be prepared. The enemy troops drop at the top of the left path you took. Once they are all dead move to the area where you see the glowing blue item. This is an Active Camouflage. I suggest you either use it now as you head up the path (there are several Eites here that can be tough) or a little later when fighting the Hunters in the next area. Either way, head through the gap and follow the path killing as you go. Once you get to the other side, there are more enemies and several stationary guns. I suggest taking out the gunners first then focusing on the rest. Once everyone is dead you'll get a Covenant dropship and several waves will transport down onto the platform here. Again, kill them all. Once you have the music will change, this is your cue that the Hunters are coming. The key to their death is shooting them in the back just below the bottom of the backplate of their armor. This is their tender spot and it should only take a few hits her to take them down depending on the level of difficulty you are playing and the type of weapon you are using. Once they are down go to the middle of the platform.
