Hey everyone! And welcome to the first episode of our Souls Level 1 Dark Souls 1 walkthrough! I am extremely excited to bring this series to life. As much fun as I had in Demon's Souls, I'm expecting bigger and better things in these episodes! I have actually completed Dark Souls 1 at Soul Level 1 before, but I did it using pyromancies. While still difficult, it is the Soul Level 1 "easy mode." So this time, I will be playing through with melee and weapon buffs only! However, I want you to see just how powerful you can become at base level, so I will also be playing through as a pyromancy only character and showing a few particular fights that are very fun to watch simply because of the incredible damage you can put out. However, in Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, I have little to no practice in this type of challenge, so this will be interesting. If any of you have attempted this challenge in any of the games, you may know that it's not actually as hard as it sounds, and I'm hoping watching my gameplay of the Soulsborne games proves that to you. It actually teaches you how to read attacks and to strategize. Playing at base level/soul level 1/blood level 4 makes you try out new attack combinations, weapons that you maybe never thought were viable and teaches you how to exploit weaknesses. It's a lot of fun. This challenge is going to take some time. We will play through Demon's Souls, then Dark Souls 1, then Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, then Dark Souls 3, and finally Bloodborne. This is only a once a week series (Saturdays) and will not interfere with any current or upcoming project. Your tips, tricks, and advise is always welcome. If you notice in my gameplay that there is an area I can improve on, let's discuss it in the comments section! Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin: • Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin Wal... Bloodborne: • Bloodborne Dark Souls from Wikipedia Dark Souls is an action role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware and published by Namco Bandai Games for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. A spiritual successor to FromSoftware's Demon's Souls, it is the second installment in the Souls series of games. Dark Souls began development under the working title of Project Dark. The game was self-published and released in Japan in September 2011, and worldwide by Namco Bandai Games the following month. In August 2012, the "Prepare to Die" edition of Dark Souls was released for PC, featuring additional content previously unavailable to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users. In October 2012, the additional content from the PC version was released as downloadable content for consoles under the title Artorias of the Abyss. Dark Souls takes place in the fictional kingdom of Lordran. Players assume the role of a cursed undead character who begins a pilgrimage out of the Undead Asylum to discover the fate of the Undead.
