VISIT ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST REMOTE ISLANDS: Fanning Island

Visit remote Fanning island - a small dot in the Pacific Ocean about 900 miles south of Hawaii. In the local language, Fanning island is known as Tabuaeran. Technically, Fanning is an atoll - part of the Line Islands of the central Pacific Ocean and part of the Republic of Kiribati. The land area is a mere ten or so square miles and the population is 1,960. The maximum elevation is about ten feet above high tide. This video goes beyond the beaches and coconut trees - and provides a deeper look at the friendly, funny and happy people who live on one of the remote islands in the world - Fanning island. As I have on my two visits (2016 and 2019), I hope you enjoy your visit.
