Would you visit this place knowing its dark history? 😨 #travelshorts #travel #hiddengems #india

Hidden deep inside the dense shola forests of Kodaikanal, Guna Caves are one of the most enigmatic and dangerous natural sites in South India. Located near Moir Point, these caves sit at an altitude of around 2,200 meters above sea level and are surrounded by thick mist, tall pine trees, and eerie silence. Originally known as Devil’s Kitchen, the caves earned their present name after the 1991 Tamil movie “Guna”, whose haunting climax scenes were shot here. Over the years, several people have accidentally fallen into these hidden pits due to poor visibility caused by fog and slippery ground. Many bodies could never be recovered, which led authorities to permanently restrict public entry beyond a fenced viewpoint. Locals believe the caves emit strange sounds, especially during windy evenings, and sudden fog can reduce visibility to almost zero within minutes. Because of these incidents, the place gained a reputation for being cursed or haunted, adding to its chilling aura. #GunaCaves #DevilsKitchen #MysteriousPlaces #HauntedIndia #HiddenIndia #Kodaikanal #TravelShorts #IndianMysteries #ScaryPlaces #youtubeshorts
