Al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah related a hadith narrated by Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) who said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “On the first night of the month of Ramadan, the devils and the rebellious Jinn are shackled, the gates of the Fire are closed and not a gate remains open, the gates of Paradise are opened and not a gate remains closed. A caller calls out, ‘O seeker of good, come forth. O seeker of evil, halt.’ Allah emancipates a people from the Fire; and this is every night.” [Collected by al-Tirmidhi (no. 682) and Ibn Majah (no. 1642). The wording here is that related by al-Tirmidhi] It is clearly stated in the hadith related by Imam Ahmad in his Musnad that the caller who calls out is one of the angels of Allāh and that this is repeated each night until the month comes to an end. He (ﷺ) said: “An angel will call out, ‘O seeker of good, glad tidings; O seeker of evil, halt,’ until Ramaḍān is over.” [Musnad of al-Imam Ahmad (no. 18042)] #quran #sunnah #salafi #hadith #islam #muslim #ramadan #sunni #hadith #salaf #scholars #ulema #sahaba #قرآن #اسلام #رمضان #مسلم #حديث #القرآن_الكريم #الاسلام #دعوة
