Padborg is a southern Danish border town with a population of 4,311 located on the border with Germany. It is the location where both the E45 motorway, a railway and the historic Danish Army Road, hærvejen, cross the border. Hanover is the capital and largest city of the German state of Lower Saxony. Its 535,932 inhabitants make it the 13th-largest city in Germany as well as the fourth-largest city in Northern Germany after Berlin, Hamburg and Bremen.
