Thomas & Friends Adventures Sea Monster Pirate Set Review. Which Thomas trains can go in the Pirate Ship? We try Thomas & Friends: 1) Motorised TrackMaster Train - Diesel 10 - Can't fit! 2) Wooden Diesel 10 Train - Can't fit! 3) Thomas & Friends Adventures Large Spencer and Henry Trains - Spencer travels well but not Henry! Depends which large train you use. 4) Take N Play Trains - Ferdinand and Ryan Trains - Yes they fit! 5) Thomas & Friends Adventures Thomas and James Trains (average sized, we call them smaller in relation to the large trains) - Yes they fit! 6) Thomas & Friends Adventures Talking Engine - Talking Thomas - die-cast with hooks (average size) - Yes but he is heavier and travels more slowly, so it doesn't pop out with the treasure chest as quickly! 7) Broader die-cast trains - e.g. Thomas & Friends Adventures Racing Ivan and Racing Raoul - No they get stuck! But they can still go through the treasure chest chute. 8) Thomas & Friends Mini Engine - we used Platinum Thomas - Yes it fits but as it's small it falls over a lot and sometimes doesn't activate the treasure chest! Treasure chest coins are not detachable (though Bruce calls them chocolate coins!). :-) This set cannot be attached to train tracks from any Thomas & Friends sets. It is a stand-alone set.
