As we await the arrival of a significant winter storm bringing snow, ice, and cold, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for most of Northeast Ohio this weekend. The Winter Storm Warning was announced as forecasters expect the following impacts: -Strong winds with gusts up to 60 mph -Wind chills as low as -30 degrees -Possible flash freeze as temps drop sharply early Friday morning -Power outages -Accumulating snow “Travel could be very difficult to impossible,” according to the National Weather Service. “Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could severely impact the Friday morning commute and any holiday travel. Strong winds could cause tree damage.
