Press Conference: Water Reclamation Facility Groundbreaking Ceremony

The Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities is rebuilding its water reclamation facility to meet mandatory new water quality standards, improve efficiency and reliability, and avoid the risks associated with a 55-year-old facility at the end of its design lifespan. The $528-million wastewater treatment project will take six years to complete and is the largest non-airport public works facility in Salt Lake City history.
