Police brutality in Imphal; MUTA demands enquiry into incident

Protest against the removal of Manipur University vice chancellor A P Pandey turned ugly today with police resorting to lathi charge to dispel students who had gathered outside the chief minister's residence to submit a memorandum to the CM. Several students were injured in the lathi charge with the Manipur University Teachers Association demanding a magisterial enquiry into the incident.
