ORCAS ISLAND Vacation and Get a Way...if you need a BREAK

After winning and having a Blast at the Casino, it is time to also consider a small vacation nearby...Get out to Orcas Island and enjoy the fresh air along with the gorgeous scenery....The Ferry ride from Anacortes to Orcas is about 45 minutes long...We stayed at the BAYHEAD COTTAGE Airbnb... not far from the ferry terminal. Just take your first right after the ferry and grocery store...Drive along the waterfront to BayHead Road....You can walk to the ferry from our the cottage....(2 bedrooms/2 bath home fully outfitted)......or ride your bikes...What a wonderful 7 day vacation.... This is a home, not a little cabin...2 bedroom..master bedroom with a KING Bed...2nd bedroom w a Queen Bed... Be sure to wear layers because in May Orcas Island gets rather cold at night and during the mornings...The sun usually came out in the early afternoon. We both needed that nice vacation away....filled with friends, family, great food and drink plus exercise and site seeing....Gordy of course went snorkeling a few days in that 50 to 55 degree water....Enjoy this short 15 minute video. I highly advice you to take your bikes with you...Consider getting on the ferry on a day for free and ride over to Lopez Island for great biking....Less traffic there and probably safer... I bought entree/ meats for 6 to 7 nights of cooking for 4 to 5 people. I froze all the meat and then we put it in the cottage refrigerator...thawing a particular meat for each night...My passion is cooking and I thoroughly enjoyed preparing dinner for all...along with having some fine wine each night.
