Did you know that the whistle that was used for the train sound effects on this attraction is the same whistle that was used in the production of 1928’s Steamboat Willie? Jimmy MacDonald (1906-1991) is a Disney Legend, he was the original head of the Disney sound effects department. He was a foley artist, voice actor, musician and conductor. Several sound effects that were used in the attraction were created by MacDonald, including the train whistle, and the Imagineers that created MMRR used his original equipment to develop new effects as well. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World and at Disneyland Park. It is the first ride-through attraction dedicated to Mickey and his pals, and is a great attraction for the whole family (it is a trackless ride with no height restriction. Be advised it can be a little jerky, especially in Daisy’s dance studio, so I wouldn’t personally take a tiny baby with no neck control, but my 7 month old loves all the colors and music). My kids absolutely love this attraction, it’s always a highlight of our Hollywood Studios day! #wdw #waltdisneyworld #disneyworld #disneyhollywoodstudios #disneyparks #disneyaddict #disneyadult #disneyfan #disneynostalgia #nostalgia #vacation #magical #relaxingatdisney #disneysightsandsounds #disneyinsta #disneyreel #disneygram #disneycreator #themepark #dreamscometrue #happilyeverafter #pov #disneyeasteregg #mickeymouse #mickeyandminniesrunawayrailway #mmrr #disneyhistory Please like this video if you liked it, subscribe for more videos and follow me on Instagram (instagram.com/letsgoparkhopping)!
