VW Chattanooga plant expansion gets supersized
The expansion of Volkswagen’s Chattanooga plant is about to get even bigger. Work started in January to supersize the plant’s body shop by 150,000 square feet. Now the company plans to almost double the size of that expansion, at a cost of nearly $18 million dollars more. Volkswagen says increasing the size of the body shop expansion now will save money and accommodate future needs.
