Father Locks Daughter up in the basement For 24 Years

On the 28th of August , 1984 , 18-year-old, Elisabeth Fritzl , mysteriously disappears. She leaves no explanation and doesn't take personal belongings or identification with her. Her parents file a missing persons report . The police and the whole family take part in the search but no one founds her . Her father Iosef Fritzl told the investigators that most likely, Elisabeth joined a religious cult because this is something she wanted to do . Then out on nowhere, a letter arrives from Elizabeth where she says : "I decided to live my life. I'm in a cult. Don't look for me " Eventually the police investigation into her whereabouts would run cold and before long the world would forget Elisabeth. But the truth was that her father knew where his daughter was ...she was locked in the basement and would stay there for the next 24 years. What her father did to Elisabeth in these years in captivity was something out of a horror movie .
